Terms of Service
These Terms govern use of ProgressOS as a goal-tracking service.
Effective 2026-07-18 · Last updated 2026-08-08
Acceptance of the terms
By accessing or using ProgressOS, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. Provider accounts and services remain subject to each provider’s own terms.
Description of ProgressOS
ProgressOS is a goal-tracking application. It lets users create numerical goals, record manual progress, import supported CSV or JSON data, and—when a provider is enabled and authorized—synchronize a user-selected numerical metric from that connected platform.
Account responsibilities
Users are responsible for their authentication session, the accuracy of information they submit, securing their connected accounts, and reviewing the permissions displayed by each provider. Users must be at least 16 years old.
Connected third-party platforms
Connections are optional and user-initiated. Users authorize access directly with each provider and may disconnect an integration through ProgressOS or remove authorization in the provider's account settings. Each provider's terms and privacy policies also apply.
ProgressOS does not own or control third-party services. Their APIs, available data, metrics, permissions, rate limits, and continued availability may change or be withdrawn. An adapter in ProgressOS does not mean it is enabled or that a provider has endorsed, approved, certified, sponsored, or partnered with ProgressOS unless that status is expressly stated after it has actually been granted.
YouTube API Services
If a user chooses to connect YouTube, ProgressOS uses YouTube API Services through a separate, read-only authorization to retrieve the authorized channel information and numerical statistics described in the Privacy Policy. ProgressOS does not post or modify YouTube data, and the presence of this integration does not represent certification, approval, or partnership by Google or YouTube.
By using the YouTube connection, users agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service in addition to these Terms.
Use of the connection remains subject to the applicable Google and YouTube policies:
Authorization for imported data
Users may connect an account, select a resource, or upload a file only when they are authorized to access and use that information. Users authorize ProgressOS to process the selected data only to provide the requested goal, import, synchronization, history, export, or deletion function.
Acceptable use
Do not submit secrets, payment-card data, protected health information, malware, unlawful material, or another person’s data without authority. Do not probe other accounts, bypass access controls, abuse provider APIs, disrupt the service, misrepresent metrics, or use ProgressOS to violate law or third-party rights.
Intellectual property
Users retain their rights in information they submit. Product names, code, branding, and third-party platform materials remain subject to their respective owners’ rights. Users authorize ProgressOS to host, process, display, export, and delete their submitted information only as needed to provide the requested service and user controls.
Service availability and changes
Synchronization may be delayed, incomplete, rate-limited, revoked, or unavailable. Providers may hide or approximate metrics. ProgressOS may change or discontinue integrations when required for security, provider compliance, or technical operation. Material policy changes must be dated and communicated using an approved method.
Goal-tracking disclaimers
ProgressOS records and displays user-selected measurements; it does not guarantee goal completion, provider approval, metric accuracy, continuous availability, employment outcomes, business results, or professional advice. Users should verify important measurements at the source platform.
Limitation of liability
ProgressOS is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect losses caused by provider outages, unavailable or inaccurate metrics, synchronization delays, or unauthorized use of a connected account. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Account termination
Access may be restricted for security incidents, unlawful use, material misuse, violations of these Terms, or provider requirements. Users may stop using ProgressOS and use the available deletion controls at any time.
Data deletion
Users can delete goals and datasets, disconnect providers, and invoke the confirmed account-deletion control. The application attempts provider revocation where supported, removes local encrypted credentials, performs stored-object cleanup, and reports pending failures. A provider may require separate removal through its account settings. Deleting ProgressOS records does not delete information independently held by a connected provider or the authentication platform.
Changes to the terms
These Terms may be updated when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date shown on this page will be updated when a revised version is published. Continued use after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
